Resoring Two Scoops After The Storm
COMMERCIAL REMODEL FOLLOWING HURRICANE HELENE
When Hurricane Helene brought powerful storm surge to Anna Maria Island, Two Scoops Ice Cream Shop, a beloved local destination suffered significant interior water damage. United Construction was called in to lead the recovery and restoration, bringing the shop back to life with a renewed focus on durability, safety, and style.

Our team began with a full 4-foot flood cut throughout the interior, removing all compromised drywall, insulation, trim, baseboards, cabinetry, and commercial equipment. We quickly handled the complete demolition phase, ensuring the site was clean, safe, and ready for reconstruction without delay.
From there, we delivered a full-scale commercial rebuild that included new drywall, electrical, plumbing, and trim work, all performed to code and tailored to the unique needs of a food service environment. We installed high-performance insulation, durable commercial-grade flooring, fresh paint, custom cabinetry, and upgraded systems to ensure long-lasting performance and resilience.
Thanks to our team’s experience, attention to detail, and commitment to communication, Two Scoops was able to reopen with a space that’s brighter, stronger, and more inviting than ever. This project reflects our ability to respond quickly, rebuild efficiently, and help preserve the charm and continuity of local businesses after a storm.
